The Seattle Police Department is searching for three male suspects involved in two robberies over the weekend at a mosque and then a nearby home.
On Sunday, Seattle police released video showing three suspects loitering around a home before breaking in and stealing personal items. However, prior to the home invasion, the same individuals were seen two doors down robbing a community mosque, Fox 13 Seattle reported.
“On Sunday, there were three men who invaded our properties. We ask the community and surrounding centers to be aware and cautious as multiple centers have been attacked such as the Federal Way Islamic Center and the Seattle Sikh Center,” the Community posted of Cham Refugees on social networks. .
Cham Refugee Center president Sarafine Appadolo told Fox 13 she learned about the men rummaging through the mosque after reviewing security footage.

“We actually own the property two doors down,” Appadolo said. “Our tenants alerted us that their property had been broken into and some items stolen. They wanted us to review our footage as well.”
Once police reviewed the footage, they were able to confirm that the same three men were seen on multiple cameras invading the building before invading the nearby home.
“It puts us in a vulnerable state,” Appadolo said. “It’s also discouraging because we’re just trying to practice our faith and keep to ourselves for the most part.”

Appadolo told Fox 13 that the men entered the community and religious center between prayer sessions.
“They weren’t here to pray,” he said. “Normally people take off their shoes. They came in with their shoes on. They were also acting suspiciously. They were also seen looking at our donation boxes. You could tell they were looking around the room.”
Appadolo added that before the men could take anything of courage, they suddenly became scared.
“Because it is an Islamic center, we pray five times a day,” Appadolo said. “They realized that people were coming and they fled.”
Seattle police are investigating both cases and are looking into the possibility that the three men may also be connected to another robbery at another place of worship.
